This Homestay is tucked in the Lachen Valley - North Sikkim. Lachen is situated at the height of 8838ft. Its inhabitated by the Lachenpa's who are the local inhabitants of the village . It has intresting places to visit viz, Chopta Valley, Gurudongmar, Alexandra David Neel Cave, Lachen Monastery, Handicraft Center, Village tour.
R C's Home stay is being seen by the family, which provides a comfortable home stay with home food in a complete home environment. It has three rooms, we charge Rs 3000 for 1 double room on AP basis.
Best time to visit Lachen Valley is in the Month of April, May, June (Summers) and also in October to November (Winter).
Lachen:
The word "Lachen" means "big pass". The entire region of Lachen is located near the Indo-Tibet (China) border in North Sikkim. The Village of Lachen, which is locally referred to as "Lamten", is situated at an altitude of 8920ft above sea level. Lachen is 129 km from the State Capital of Gangtok. Normally it takes around 5 hours to reach Lachen from Gangtok. The main road is located on the North Sikkim Highway. read more....
